Staying at the Yas Island Hotel overlooking the Marina Circuit. Security was tight and hotel is chaotic so we decided to stay put at the hotel all weekend. A number of dining options to choose from and we tried to hit as many of them as possible during our stay.

The Round-Up
Amici – pleasant Italian with your standard offering of pasta, pizza, pesce and carne. We had a variety of salads to start (caprese, grilled vegetable, green salad) and a selection of pastas for our mains. The roasted garlic dip that came with the bread was fabulously sweet and aromatic – it was so tasty that the waiter brought over 3 more servings for us to polish off. Very warm service and the chef came out to serve us our mains which was a nice touch.

Nautilus – High-end seafood restaurant with a great patio view of the Yacht club. We decided on an indulgent evening. The fine de claire oysters were lovely as a starter as was the trio of tuna tartare. Our mains consisted of the Grilled King Prawns which were beautifully presented and the Glazed Monkfish which was equally creative and tasty. Overall a great dining experience. Best part of the weekend was the racing. Shout out to Simon and Katie from Legion Sports for hosting a fantastic weekend.
